They have a jazzy new retention system that wraps around the entire carbon sole which is supposed to give an even anchor point and eliminate pressure points. In the second photo you can see the cable routing through the carbon. They also added a carbon plate over the cleat holes on the inside of the shoes, which is covered by the insole. I just wore them on a roller session and they feel really comfortable. Heat molded them last night and they fit like a glove!

Did you kit up and put sunglasses on indoors to take a pic of shoes without cleats?

I think Bonts have a really pronounced arch, and work well for regular to high arches. If you have a shallow or low arch, the amount of adaptation of the heat molding won't be enough to make it comfortable. If you have an issue with one specific spot on the shoe, you can carefully warm it with a hair dryer and use the butt end of a screwdriver to push/form the spot. If you have the right foot shape, Bonts are great. I have a textbook standard foot shape (sorry, no glamour shots), and my Vaypor S fit as though they were made from casts of my feet. I never even baked them, just used the screwdriver method on a couple spots. I do have a lot of experience baking hockey skates. Two points: do not wear thick socks (go paper thin or no socks) and don't re-bake over a short period ( can damage integrity of upper or securing mech).

It was too nice of a bike to pass up!

I’ve owned a terraplane road bike and it was beautiful and a great bike, but fit was a bit off. This MRB is as smooth a bike that I’ve ridden and the paint is gorgeous. Looking forward to many happy miles on this one!

Inbound frameset for fast rides and training.

Buying from a frame-builder who can tinker with BikeCad for you takes some of the guesswork out of the equation.

This one should ride similarly to my Hampsten LDV, with more appropriate tubes for my weight and the drop I want (after taking two spacers out), though similar reach, bb drop, wheelbase, etc.

.

You're a man who knows value when you see it - no way I could've passed that up if it was my size either.

I love the colors and may steal your pallette, but have JB turn it inside out (one of the blues as the main).

The colors really work and JB paint mixed with DK fillets are a beautiful combination. Both are wizards when it comes to their respective art!

Can’t wait to see yours once it’s built up and painted!

My most recent purchase was a Motobecane aluminum and carbon bike 2nd hand. With Upgraded 3x9 Dura ace and 13-34 rear cassette. Shimano speed clip less pedals, with Bontrager race TLR wheels, Bontrager race lite carbon stem. All for $140. The seller had it hanging in his garage for 2 years due to buying a new carbon cannondale. I bought it within 2 hours of him posting the ad lol.
