That looked intentional. It didn't look like someone looking at their cell phone and not paying attention or something like that. This driver went right down the bike lane and went right through a traffic light. Usually there is an incident that causes road rage so perhaps something happened down the road. Otherwise what?

I COULD BE WRONG ! Possibility that they got distracted by phone and looked up at light and saw a whole in the cars and went. Very sad!

Out of the horror I did see a glimmer of hope. The person sprinting to the aid of the cyclist.

If it were a case of distracted driving, how would you explain the suspect attacking the cyclist with a knife ??

This whole thing is bizarre......tragic, and bizarre.

yep

the news reports say he u-turned and came back with a knife, and was stopped by bystanders AFTER he stabbed the victim. One report said he also had a gun.

Just a horrific crazy thing, no details yet, but it is so intentional one would imagine there is some history or back-story between them. If it is just road rage, that is just so ridiculously tragic and stupid.

Amazing the cyclist lived long enough to make it to the hospital when you see how hard he was hit, let alone stabbed.

It’s the headline of the NY Post, which is surprising because Hunter Biden wasn’t driving the car and no one was wearing a bikini.

In all seriousness, the video is posted. Which was on Twitter before apparently.

Wow, our world seems so violent today. I'm saddened and sick about this. Where does it end?

Exactly! Stabbing someone in the back seems intentional to me.

Busy urban areas just seem to be getting worse and worse. People kill and attack for any reason. Tragic senseless death. I for one just mind my own business, no hand gestures, no reaction to bonehead drivers, no yelling back. I left group rides a couple of times when one of the riders would roll up to a car at a stop light and start going off on them about passing us too closely or honking. Nope not worth it, they know what they did and don't care. Not winning against a 4k+ lbs vehicle.

Totally agree with this. Sometimes its hard not to react when you feel you have been intentionally assaulted by a diver but its not worth getting killed over and guns are everywhere now thanks to our Supreme Court.

California has had 75,000 criminals released in the last couple of years. It was just announced 75,000 more will be released in the next couple of years. There is a list of the crimes the released had been convicted of. It’s staggering.
