Niner warranty?
Has anyone had experience with trying to warranty a Niner frame since they filed for bankruptcy and were subsequently bought? I am trying to warranty a 2016 alloy frame but the vendor I bought the bike through claims the frame is only warrantied for two years. But the Niner website states that "any steel or alloy frame purchased after January 1 2017 will have a five year warranty from the date of purchase"
I bought the bike in May 2017 so I should be good, right? Last edited by 45K10; 10-31-2019 at 10:38 AM. |

Get that warranty. You’re good. Just know your LBS will likely charge you for the labor of removing parts and installing

Looks like the only consideration is when the purchase was made, not when the frame was made. Having said that I've seen a "new" company of same brand not honor a lifetime warranty so maybe something like that is going on. Call Niner.

+1. If you LBS isn't willing to help, give Niner a call. And maybe find a new LBS.

Actually Niner just approved my warranty claim. The vendor changed their tune after I pointed out what the Niner warranty actually states. It was a case of someone not checking the facts before they made a statement.
All in all not a big deal and a shout out to Niner for processing the warranty claim quickly. Thanks for everyone's input |
