Imagine being the chiefs spending a half a billion dollars on a quarterback that has won 1 Super Bowl and then get absolutely throttled by an over the hill QB and 7 fingered JPP. Yikes, goat talk.

Maybe like Ocana or Poulidor chasing Merckx in the Tours.

I have to say, Tom Brady is the Eddy Merckx of American football.

Brady was Brady. Tampa Bay was not even very good last year.

Tom Brady the player/individual signed the megas deals and married the rich super-model...

The two entities are separate....the business needed (I suppose) the loan, and got it rather than asking TB the owner to fund it.

Good business.....but bad optics for sure...

I don't fault the business for doing it, but Tom the person should have known how it would look and be detrimental to his brand.

So all these years, my TB12 hatred should have been directed instead to Bill Belichick?

But he's now a loser - hard to feel anything more than pity toward him...

(jk, of course)

Tom Brady is a class act, and a great quarterback. I don't know how much he makes, but I hope he makes a lot more.

Why would it be weird to be a fan of the greatest quarterback in the history of the game and a guy who also happens to be a consummate team player, professional and class act?

LOL. I ignored the jab. Nick beat him this year with the lowly Bears as well, and got snubbed, because, well, covid. And convenience.

He did throw the ball to Drew's kid, but then again, he's not a threat.
