I have no idea what the company TB12 does or why it qualified for a PPP loan....I assume it has a staff, and does something that has been limited by current pandemic and associated shutdowns...maybe they needed the funds to keep the staff paid? Which is the intent of the loans.

Tom Brady the player/individual signed the megas deals and married the rich super-model...

The two entities are separate....the business needed (I suppose) the loan, and got it rather than asking TB the owner to fund it.

Good business.....but bad optics for sure...

I don't fault the business for doing it, but Tom the person should have known how it would look and be detrimental to his brand.
