SRAM Powerlink Gold on a Dura Ace Chain?

I have a 9 speed SRAM Powerlink Gold that I have used to join a 9 speed Dura Ace/XTR chain. Should not be an issue. However, when I squeeze the Powerlink plate, there's a tiny bit of play not seen on the rest of the chain.

Any issue in your opinion?

Thanks!

In the eight-speed (and to a lesser extent, ten-speed) days, using a SRAM link on a Shimano HG chain would create a very tight link, too stiff to even ride.

But 9-speed and 11-speed chains seem to work fine with other brand links.

I dislike using anything but Shimano links on Shimano or Campagnolo 11s chains however, simply because I have observed measurable increases in pitch between rollers adjacent to other-branded links.
So I happily pay the (often higher) cost for an 11s Shimano link (versus KMC's or SRAM's links).
The Shimano links do seem to work perfectly on Campag 11s chains I am happy to note (since I have no peening tool for installing Campag's 11s link).

Any slight bit of plate clearance that you observe in the connecting link will only be a problem if the link no linger stays together reliably (easily tested with bare hands by trying to separate the link halves). Some play is completely normal.
