The new Look ... 585 killer?

The new 765 Optimum. It's $4,600 with Chorus. Supposedly 20% more compliant.

Sorry... I'll take my 585 over that any day, but then I'm somewhat of a retro grouch. Not a fan of 99.9% of modern bikes.

Disc brakes? sheesh!

Fits up to a 700 x 42…

Seems like a very attractive price for that bike. If I was in the market for a carbon ‘all road’ bike, this would definitely be on my list of possibilities.

This looks like a Trek Domane and looking at the rest of the Look lineup, the Blade is similar to the Madone and Alp d'Huez is like a Emonda. Seems meh!...Nothing looks very innovative but I may have missed something.

Headset cable routing is where I get off the road bike bus for good, I guess.

I'm the total opposite. While I love old bike with fully external cables, these new bikes (particularly with hydro and e-shifting) and the 99.9% hidden cables are just amazing.

I see an Ultegra version for $4300- https://www.lookcycle.com/us-en/prod...um-black-satin
I dont see a Campy version at all.

This doesnt seem like a Domane to me- the geometry in the largest frame size is quite different from a Domane.
Also, the geometry table for Look's 765 optimum is all wrong. Its in French, which is obviously wrong(joke), but it also looks to be incorrect.
The seat tube angle is clearly wrong, the head tube angle is just surprisingly slack, the seat tube length shows the same for all sizes, and I dont even know what 'HAV' means. Does 'HAV' mean bottom bracket drop, maybe?

Anyways, the XL version does not remind me of a Domane.

Crap - I was hoping they were going to announce the return of a cross bike.

The 765 optimum fits up to a 34mm tire. A different model, the 765+, fits up to a 42mm tire.
And then there is the 765 gravel which ironically can only fit a 40mm tire. Not sure why it has a dropped chainstay and can only fit a 40. Thats...odd.

I hear ya.

Personally, I don't want to do a brake bleed just because the headset needs maintenance.

Ah, too much coffee this AM, I guess. Still, capacity for 34's pretty much addresses its niche.

I think the values for HAV should be the seat tube angle, and the values for seat tube angle should be seat tube length.

That's as much as I can figure out.
