Flat bar recommendation for an off road touring bike?

People swear by Jones bars, but are there any similar less costly options? I would love to find a Bontrager Satellite or Crivitz, but think they are out of production.

I've got a Jones, and have had Mary and few other bars. For me, just a regular straight bar works. I had one made from Seven ($150 for custom length/sweep). Fantastic bar so far.

You might like something like Rivendell's Moustache bar or their new modified version the name of which I forget. They provide multiple hand positions that work well on/off road.

I just got a moustache bar for an abomination of mine. It's an old nitto bar, I think those are still in production. Mine's 26.0, though.

Looks a lot like the (Hsin Lung?) bar I used on my old GT. Takes a long stem to make work. Angling it down at the back from how it's pictured made my wrists happier.

Jones bars seem to be working well for a handful of my friends who tour frequently. And I've got one friend who swears by the VO Crazy Bars. He's managed to sway a few folks. My preference is the Jones H bars because I like how handlebar bags can mount to them without moving around and kinking cables as frequently.

I have a Jones loop and like it, but also think the Ragley Carnegie is a great slightly-less-swept bar. Also check Salsa Bend 2 - available in 2 sweep angles - 17 and 23, I think.

I've been planning a cockpit swap on my beer bike and have my eye on essentially all of these (Jones, Crazy, Moloko, Eagle). Any more feedback from the peanut gallery...errr...I mean forumites?

I have had Jones and several other multi-hand positions bar in the past, who would have thought the one that I am most comfortable and satisfied with is a cheap (less than $20) butterfly bar that I bought on eBay shipped from China.

I have even used it on gravel rides and it worked fine. Other than allowing multiple hand positions, it's got lots of real estate for hanging accessories, bags what have you.
