I know progress and all, and now we're up to 12 speed Record and SR, but 10-speed Record is really hard to beat for smoooooth shifting.

It just works.

True dat! I might have to convert the wife's to 10s. I can tune up the 11 to where the front shifts up from small to medium to large, but only shifts back down large to small, skipping over medium. I haven't seen that on our 3x10s.

The last version of 10 speed Record and Chorus large chainring had 8 pick up pins plus ramps on the big ring. Centaur and below had 6 pins. I've got both.
