Anyone used a Campy 12 FD on an otherwise 11 setup?

The front shifting on my Chorus 12 equipped bike is the best I have ever experienced, by a lot. Given that all were built by the same ham-handed wrench, I'm wondering how much to attribute to the FD itself versus the combination of the FD and the shifter, plus maybe the crankset.

Curious if anyone has used a 12 speed FD with an otherwise 11 speed setup and, if so, whether you noticed a meaningful difference in shift quality/reliability/etc.

thanks
