Just got a second Brooks Cambium saddle. This one the C17 instead of the C15, and it's the all weather version. I really like my C15 and B17, so this one should be great.

Maybe so. I'd been pondering one for months, actually, but I did jump into that thread on hardtails started by spooky33 (went back and checked) and I don't think anybody didn't like the pics Joosttx posted of the 44. Maybe it helped nudge me along toward thinking more about steel as an alternative to things I was seeing in the shops, although I did end up with a different (and stock, and less expensive) bike.

first impression is very good. meaty sole, supple upper, good foot shape. Looking forward to wearing them.

Mine arrived this morning. Looking forward to a road test.

Awesome!

The stars aligned and I took the opportunity to put ~60 mixed-terrain miles on the Quocs today. I really like them. They are super comfy. Good stiffness for pedaling. The meaty lugged soles are great for walking where I can't ride.
I wish Quoc offered a 43, but the 42.5 seems roomy enough.
I need more practice managing lace-up cycling shoes.

That this method yields longer ends may also be beneficial in giving the elastic more length to hold onto.

Buying from a frame-builder who can tinker with BikeCad for you takes some of the guesswork out of the equation.

This one should ride similarly to my Hampsten LDV, with more appropriate tubes for my weight and the drop I want (after taking two spacers out), though similar reach, bb drop, wheelbase, etc.

.

Looks soooo good in person. The Spirit tubing is amazing and Erik's welds are probably the best I've seen - and y'all know I've seen a few...

I'd stay up all night building, but I've been gone this week and need to be good.

Your most recent cycling related purchase

Amazon order came...
I wanted to try out the Venzo combo, shoes and pedals for $ 74. They seem super comfortable. Two super light water cages and new aluminum brake calipers, new super gel bar tape and a new water bottle.

Not as fancy as a lot of bikes here but a blast to ride. Really easy actually.
Bought it locally for a song. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RUaYbfKZIiA

I’m looking forward to seeing this built up but you should be good. We can wait.

After seeing Andy’s and now this Alliance, I’m very interested in this builder.

Please take care of that and keep it scratch-free. (As I love the color and it will fit me when you are done with it).
