I only use SIS isotonic gels now, as they are just easier to put down. A lot of people I know have become full converts too. Even if you don't struggle with gels, these just taste better than all other ones.

Agreed on SIS ... I used it while marathon training and in my marathon.

Bought a dozen of SIS gels a couple of weeks ago. I tried the first one today on a ride. It was the Double Expresso flavor and frankly...it was GROSS.
I like Gels and have been using them for the last five years. I've tried at least five different brands and find them all pretty much the same. Although I prefer the ones with some extra caffeine. However..the SIS I used today was bland tasting and very watery...it was a struggle to get it all down. Other gels are quite a bit thicker and this one really didn't work for me. I'll try one of the fruit flavors next time, but I'm not sure if I can get used to the thin, watery texture of these. |

I also tried some SIS stuff during the sale and while I havent actually tasted any of it yet, i noticed that about half of the stuff is expiring in 2-3 months...

Honeystinger Gels have a longer shelf life.
I stock up in Nov with the ½-off deal and the Gel's exp date is about a year from now. |

I've been shopping for road pedals lately, might be hard to pass up these Look Keo 2 Max gift sets from Planet Cyclery. $59-66 for pedals w/ cleats, a pair of socks, and a neck warmer. Two sock sizes. Also in black/red. Also on eBay with best offer. Might be worth trying to scratch off a few more bucks over there.
