Favorite snack stops in NoVA

The Bike Lane - Herndon. Heckin’ good orange muffins. So-so beers, but after 50 miles, good enough.

Idido’s Coffee - Arlington. I don’t normally touch coffee unless I’m having digestive issues, but they do serve a good cup of straight black, whatever they use. Good cold slices of pie.

What are your faves?

Philomont country store for ham sandwiches - ask for pickles.

And the bike lane for beers, although I ride with their shop team so I’m biased

Moved to Bethesda, MD just over a year ago and exploring roads in MD, still need to get over to VA for a ride. Rode to Poolesville, MD today, will consider taking the ferry over to Leesburg sometime, so these tips might be handy.

Döner Bistro and King Street Coffee in Leesburg are great and easily accessible for parking a bike and keeping an eye on it.

Cafe de Clieu in Fairfax, corner of University Dr and Main St. Great coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches. Old Town Square is a very short walk across Main St, just past The Old Town Hall...great place to sit and enjoy a coffee and scone!

I forgot to mention that one. There's much better bbq in the area, but none so close to WOD, so it's a good stop.

Mad Fox is now Solace Outpost. In my opinion, an upgrade for the space. YMMV. I still prefer Audacious Alewerks right next door to ProBike FC, but they only have beer and popcorn, no snacks.

Unfortunately, I don't ride gravel, but I'm sure there are some great paved roads as well. Any suggestions?

Try this - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33798761

Mountain road up to lovettesville and the taylorstown/stumptown climbs are really nice rides. The section of 15 *is* very busy but its short and has a wide shoulder. All paved.
