Pedantic, but all steels are alloys.

Nothing wrong with post-mount brakes because brakes are cheaper than wheels; however, 15x100 is a dead-end standard like 130mm rear spacing for disc.

I dare say that it's not a dumpster, but rather where the hot water heater or HVAC unit is contained.

You can get a 15mm to 12mm adapter (sleeve) and use either standard in a 15mm fork. Can't do that with a 12mm spec fork. That opens up the ability to use 29er wheelsets and there are some nice cross country options that are great for gravel bikes.

I can't even spell 'disc brakes' or 'through axle hubs'
BUT, for you 'industry' guys why oh why go to 12mm TA fronts on 'groad' bikes and 15mm for MTB stuff? 15mm TA too heavy??(sarcasm)...

I'll take that 'bet'. Not for the HVAC, but definitely with regard to the hot water heater....

Both my wife and I have the RLT 9 AL.... and they are a great bikes. Absolutely love them. We built them up from the frameset to our liking. It's the most fun bicycle I have ever owned. It's light enough (8,6kg)... the fork is great even if it is 15mm, but who cares, all my wheels are 15mm thru. We sized them really aggressively small and they are perfect that way - more fun to ride racey than my CAAD10. They are really nicely finished bikes with very nice detailing at this "budget" price point.

Every time I ride that bike I like it more. I only have one complaint and that is the top tube is too aggressively sloping on my 2019 vs my wifes 2018 so the space for a frame bag is limited.

I didn't consider the steel for too long because it's quite heavy and I don't buy the ride comfort voodoo. The comfort comes from running 45mm wide tires.

I've been thinking about trying a disc bike... maybe an Ibis Hakka for me? Really like the way this looks...

Agreed. Hot water heaters are not usually placed on exterior walls - at least not where I live. Other locations may be fine.
