Campagnolo HB-RE100 compatibility with Record/Chorus 10 speed hubs

Hello everyone,

This is a question for Oldpotato but grateful if anyone can help.

I am in the process of overhauling my Chorus hub, as I noticed some scoring in the bearing cones.

I saw that there is a kit HB-RE100 that one can buy instead of individual cones and bearings.

The kit comprises HB-RE021 (seals, two pieces); HB-RE022 (outer cone, two pieces); HB-RE023 (bearings, two pieces) and HB-RE124 (inner cone, two pieces).

My question is: Will this kit HB-RE100 be compatible with the 1998-2006 Record/Chorus 10s hubs (the silver polished ones).

Based on my research of the Campa spare parts catalogue, the drawings and part numbers are the same. But the RE100 kit itself only started appearing in Campa's catalogue around 2009. Appreciate if anyone can confirm the compatibility? Thank you.

Yes it is but couple of caveats.
Those cups are REALLY hard to get out w/o a specific tool.
Cones are the things I see get pitted, very few cups.
Seals seldom get gooned up.
Bearings are just grade 25 5/32 bearing balls..

I'd say just getting cones and loose bearings would be a better(cheaper) idea..I have both. Cones are $22 per, bearings are $.10 per(30 per hub, same part front and rear.
