What bottom bracket do I need?

I have a 2014 S-Works Crux with OSBB carbon shell 46x61.

I intend to use a SRAM Red BB30 PF30 short spindle crank.

What bottom bracket do I order to make sure the two works perfectly together?

Someone here may know, but I'd look at Wheels Mfg web site and give them a call if necessary.

Is the shell really that short, 61mm?

Aero pal, thanks for your reply. Another forum pal also suggested giving Wheel Mfg a buzz, maybe I will do that.

Yeah, it really is 61...is one of those crazy standards that Specialized stopped producing a year later and got back on the regular program.

Their press together PF30 BB says it works for shells 61-86.5mm. I picked one off eBay for half price for my Supersix, happy with it so far. My guess is you may need an extra spacer or two.

Hit up Wheels Mfg. They have every possible bb and crank combination covered, their parts are awesome, and they are super helpful.

TBH Wheels Mfg is like a decoder ring in this time of non-standard standards. Super helpful!

Wheels MFG indicates that it's essentially just a PF30, but narrower.

Your options are press fit, or a press fit thread together. Between the two, buy the thread together, it's worth the peace of mind.

Later iterations of the frame did essentially use a PF30 shell bonded into the frame, and bearings were pressured directly into that shell, in effect making it a BB30.

Carbon OSBB = PF30 (needs a 109mm spindle)
Alu OSBB = BB30 (needs a ~103mm spindle)

I rock a Wheels MFG thread together PF30 and its great. It on my gravel/commuter bike which gets kicked around quite a bit. It was easy to instal and has given me zero issues.
