RD Pulley replacement options

I have a Sram Force RD (10 speed) in need of new pulleys. Other than ceramic bearings, are all pulleys created equal(ish)? What should I buy for a weekend warrior bike?

Re:

Just got a pair of FSA sealed bearing pulleys for my record derailleur. They are great and can't be beat for $25. (Ebay).

moved.

i have used the tacx ones with no problem, and also some of the ebay aluminum ones. the aluminum ones are noisier though, so i'd stick with the composite ones.

SRAM pulleys are fine and work great.
I wouldn’t waste money on ceramic pulleys

Legit Question

So, how does one know when derailleur pulleys are worn out?

I'm in the midst of an annual cleaning and re-lube of my DA 7700 drive train and after 30,000+ miles of use, my pulleys appear to be the same as they always have.

if you ride in reasonably clean and dry conditions, they seem to last forever, but on the gravel bike that sees lots of abrasive grit, they seem to get trashed a little quicker.

if they still look good, not shark toothed and the valleys look perfectly round, with the chain sitting in them flush all around, no need to replace. also, obviously, they need to spin smoothly with no obvious bearing/bushing roughness.

I was working on new cables and housing when I noticed my lower pulley was cracked. Other than that I’ve never had to change pulleys.

Thanks for all the input. I’ll get something ordered today.
