Saddle comprable to Flite

I ride a Selle Italia Flite saddle on all my bikes. I know a lot of people don't like them but I've never had a problem so I guess they just fit me well. I know I can find a used one easily but I'm just wondering about other current saddles with a comparable fit.

Some people say that the Fabric Scoop saddles are close to the Flite. I have no personal experience, but I am considering the latter. I am wondering how Fabric Scoop Flat saddles compare to Turbo saddles which I have been riding for years and am now deciding are a bit numbing.

I also always liked the original Flite and found that Tune‘s Speedneedle fits very comparably and I now ride these on all of my road and mtn bikes.

I like the Fabric Scoop a lot.

Lately I've used the Brooks Cambium which also has a Flite-ish shape, but somewhat different overall feel (texture, stiffness).

Yeah, C13 is a similar shape, but with slightly more compliance. Nice saddle!

I love the Flite, and have moved to the Fabric Scoop Shallow. The Fabric also works v well for my butt. I tried a C15 (non carved) and that did not work out. I have been wanting to try the C13 carved.

You don't have to buy a used Flite, you can buy them new, with either steel or titanium rails...

Why switch? My oldest Flite was purchased in 1992 and after 4 - or 5 recoverings is still going strong. Recovering a saddle is not hard....a piece of leather....some adhesive..... and patience.

I went from a Flight and Turbo saddle to Fabric saddles. I think the Fabric saddles are softer and more comfy, but maybe a similar fit since I've been good on them all?

For me, the Fizik Aliante fits very similarly to the old Flite. The Arione is a little flatter, but also has the same overall shape.

I used Flites for years in the 90s. I switched to Arione and I like them better. The seat doesn’t bottom out on the seatpost binder like the Flite did.
