Is anyone running SRAM AXS with Eagle AXS XX1 rear?

Very interested in the 1X12 setup with 40t front and a Rotor 12 speed 11-52t cassette

I have an axs mullet. Shoot me some questions.

I’m running a 42 10x50. I would imagine a 40 x 52 can get you up anything. But I think you would run out of gears shooting on the flats and downhill especially on road.

I think mig’s wall on MGG is 22%. I bet 40x52 is plenty of gear for that.

Me too, on a Lauf True Grit. Have rarely used the 50, except on one switchback at Six Gap that seemed like a wall.

For those doing the 42 by 10-50, the jumps aren't too big? Shimano makes an XTR 10-45 12s cassette (requires microspline freehub). Has anyone tried it with an otherwise AXS mullet build? Would 10-45 by a good 12s 1x road setup?

My road setup was exclusively Campy prior to this new gravel build. Knowing the new build’s intended purpose, I figured getting up steep inclines was more relevant than cruising through tight cog increments. That said, yes the jumps took a bit to get used to, but I wouldn’t say it’s been a hinderance. Likewise the SRAM shifting took time to assimilate as well.

To add, I did just order another Wheelset, specifically to ride the new gravel bike on roads akin to smooth tarmac, and chose a more road friendly cassette. Don’t think I’ll have the big range to bomb down hill, but the increments will be smaller and I should be able to get up most inclines w/a 42x27.

I've got an AXS mullet build with 38t and 10-50 as well as a Rotor 13sp with 38t and 10-46. Both are great in terms of range. The 50t is overkill for most situations but we've also got a lot of very loose, very steep dirt riding here so it's nice to spin and not worry about slipping the rear wheel.

I definitely wouldn't bother swapping cassettes around and such, the AXS setup is great and if you don't have super steep stuff then just go for a bigger front ring. The jumps are totally fine for a gravel bike where the speed ranges are smaller (and slower) than on a road bike.

I haven’t noticed an issue with the jumps. But wide gaps don’t bother me that much.

Has anyone tried to use a normal AXS rear derailleur with a longer cage or road link to get it to work with a 10-50 cassette? I have a ride id like to do that is going to require that 50 in the back but I dont want to spend more than I need to just for one ride.
