Saw these as the neutral service bike at the Montreal Grand Prix and they looked so good!
Sweet bike

I've never owned or ridden a steel road bike so finally pulled the trigger on building one up. I wanted a modern geo-steel frameset but didn't want to go custom and wanted to keep the cost somewhat reasonable. My first choice would've been an Eddy Merckx Liege 75, molteni orange but finding one new or used yielded nothing. I did find an EM Strada, molteni brown from a UK based LBS and it arrived yesterday.

I bought a new (to me) bike. And so, it goes without saying that I had to follow up by purchasing new bars, new tape, a new stem, a new post, and new pedals. I'm absolutely certain I'll have to buy more things before too terribly long.

Oh, I forgot that I also bought new wheels for the new (to me) bike with soon-to-be-new bars, tape, stem, post, and pedals.

Decided to give the Smith Trace helmet a try, to replace my commuting helmet that should have been replaced a long time ago.

1980 Schwinn Suburban w/ Front Freewheel

I guess Schwinn wanted the rider to be able to shift while coasting. The rear 5 gears are fixed while the drive side crank has a freewheel mechanism inside. rear shifting is indexed with the detents on the rear derailer not in the shifter
