Come on Tater! Do you really not see that the newer hardware, from brake calipers to cranks and RDs, have lost that Italian style they used to have? I have Campy on both my road bikes and have a couple of Campagnolo logo t-shirts, no tats , so I am no hater. Just a disappointed fan. Adding IMO to a post like this seems completely redundant.

Nope, not any more than the most modern rear suspension on a Ducati or the treatment of the latest Ferrari or the beautiful Guilia....bello, semplicemente bello!!!

“IMO” cuz it IS your opinion, not something etched in stone and brought down from the mountain top...c’mon!!

I couldn’t agree more, speaking as someone with an engineering degree and over 45 years experience in design, product development and manufacturing.

Your love of those cranks is legendary ;-)

Well, yeah, you're right, the Campy stuff does look like crap much like the rest, but in all of the component maker's defense it's much harder to impart style on what is essentially black plastic and carbon pieces. It's like trying to make pretty garage door openers at this point, Ha!

At least Campag is offering something that people were looking for.

Here you go all:

Crankset - looks to be different from Record crank which is a departure from the norm. My guess on those visible bolt holes were for a 1x option, but looks like it may be sub-compact (or both).
RD - looks like some alloy in there, compared to R/SR...

I'd ride that.

That pic reminds of that commercial "cut the cable". Aesthetically, wireless would clean that up.

I know it means not a lot BUT...9s? 10s? 11s? and now 12s...hmmmm seems the 'S' group makers followed..and have been since 1997...

Lessee shimano's 12s road group?..and a sram 12s group with something other than a rear hub that's not compatible with 11s AND 12s..

Oh yes..mechanical 12s? Yes, I know electronic is a 'game changer',,,but mechanical 12s from anybody? Except Campagnolo??
I alternate between electronics and mechanical equipment in my work. Mechanical is way more sought after than electronics right now. I won´t spend my money on electronic drivetrains. I don´t care if electronics look ace or even shift better: i will put my money in mechanical parts right now.

I know, but the width is for 28mm tires... not gravel tire widths. People are running larger tires no doubt, but it would be nice to have something wider rim wise.
