Bladder frustration (not that bladder)

So, I bought a USWE hydration pack and the bladder closes with a slide on pinchy thing on the top. For the life of me, getting the slider back on after filling is frustrating as hell. Any tricks?

You sure its lined up correctly? I have an Osprey and it sounds like it has a similar slidey thing. Never any trouble getting it on or off

I've gone through two bite valves on the osprey and finally switched it to a camelbak bite valve - much more reliable. They became leaky.

put a mark on the open end of the slider since it is directional

make sure the attachment cord is tight so you have as much line to work with when attempting to slide it onto the bladder.

IMHO the hydrapak system is far superior to the camebak bladder easier to fill, clean and dry.

Every now and then one will come across a bibs / shorts review where the writer will comment that the chamois feels like it's way thicker than it needs to be and says "it felt like I was wearing a diaper." Maybe the manufacturers of those models should embrace that option and advertise their product as "dual purpose."

This may sound silly, but I was this stupid...

Make sure you are folding the top over the right way. It’s possible though really hard to put the slider on if you fold the wrong way.

Hydrapak is still light years better than camelbaks screw top, which I manage to cross thread 1 of every 5 times and seems secure until you tip the pack upright, at which point you get to mop water off your floor.
