Rear light

I’ve had pretty good luck on Amazon except when it comes to bike lights. I can’t find one that last anywhere near as long as it is advertised for. I was wondering if anyone has a good recomendation for me to look into

Light & Motion, Dinotte, Lupine. None is cheap. All are good. Dinotte is the king but is actually likely too bright for night use or in a group.

You get what you pay for. Don’t go cheap.

Lupine is better made and more compact than the Dinotte and has more features such as an accelerometer actuated brake light. True Diontte is stupid bright but the Lupine is plenty bright.

I would spend the money on a Lupine and enjoy it for many years to come

how long do you need? That will help identify the appropriate one for you.

Check out the threads posted. Lots of good lights out there. I got my Dinotte years ago for commuting and it's great to get the attention of drivers. It's pretty bright for use with a group though with the short days if I'm riding with buddies and it's getting a bit darker then they send me to the back. Even they feel safer.

I've had several low cost lights but finally went with the Bontrager Flare R a couple of seasons ago and am very happy with it. There's a new model that's brighter but I have found the original model to be really good and it's on sale these days for a decent price.

Yeah, how long IS long? 1/2 hour? 3 hours? 12 hours?

The brighter it is, the shorter its life. Unless you want a big honking battery, then people would complain it's too heavy.

Just like people complain that the FLY6 doesn't last long enough. Mine lasts about 5 hours. No other video camera lasts that long. GoPro might get you 90 minutes tops.

Bontrager Flare R/RT for sure. The newest version is about the size of an ice cube and visible for well over 1km. It’s pretty awesome. It has onboard photocells and automatically adjusts its brightness.

Blinky, steady, big, little, easy on-off, more permanent, how charged..???

BaZillion choices but any of the bigger names mentioned will fix you up..I am partial to these, work well, easy on-off, last long time, easy to recharge, BRIGHT.

Still another vote for the Bontrager Flare R/RT.
I've purchased one for me and 3 for family members.
Most light for the buck.

Thanks for all the helpful insight. Based on this list I think I’ll find once that easily fits my needs... less than 5 hours runtime blinking.
