Enjoy Having used a Niche Zero daily for over a year am absolutely loving this grinder. While the single dose workflow involves a few extra steps, the ability to switch out between different beans with every shot is such a treat, rotating every morning between two profiles - a lighter roast for the missus, and a darker one to stand up to lattes.

Don't disagree that the Indiegogo platform is a distraction (and took forever to arrive), but is worth the wait.
Ya, I will do my best to be patient while I wait for it to arrive. I’ll probably relegate the Ceado go home use once this arrives.

I am always amused that this forum has a reasonably frequent number of posts about coffee, but home barista forum has non about bikes! We are renaissance people!

That Clever Dripper has seen little use! Mine is a “nice” amber color now!

I have a bigger unit that sees more use
And I always clean them with Cafetto EVO every month, to get rid of stains

Wow - that's a lot of drippers! I'm in the market for one. Looking at the Kalita. Any thoughts? It would be for those "second cup" mornings when I don't want to fire up the espresso machine.

i use my hario v60 every single morning now.

in reality, there isnt too much difference between drippers. they all pretty much work the same.

just remember you have to switch the grind from espresso to pour-over for your second cup!

and speaking of which, even though i'm buying a lot of beans now, woof, i must be saving a ton of money during these corona times not buying coffee out.

i do miss it though, the act of interacting with a human, not being scared to touch the same cup as the barista did, just zoning out for a few minutes in the cafe. sigh.

I’m with you Nick in terms of stopping at the shop, but when duty calls, brew your own. I built this stand last year for my oldest son, who is a pourover fan. It was a lot of fun and made with scrap pieces of maple and copper pipe...all based on Hario gear.

That stand is super cool... I kind of want to make one like that now.

I also use my V60 almost all the time, it is my favorite for sure.

I have the 1L Chemex.. and it's great, but it pretty much only comes out when guests are around. If it's just me I will always go with the V60 as it just seems the logical way to go for 1 serving.

I have to admit because I mostly use the Chemex only when guests are around I haven't gotten too deep into it's nuances.

That stand looks really cool. Well done.

Next you can make a Yama cold brew rube Goldberg

If anybody wants the plans, I have an iPhoto album of progress pics and rough dimension plans that I can email. The stand dimensions were based on the Hario system and a scale and the stand can accommodate two units. The most difficult part is finding a bore hole saw in that dimension (2.50”)...fortunately I have a friend who has a wood shop.

I'd probably just design my own.. I'd want to see if I could make do with what I already have on hand in the wood pile in the garage.

Not sure I have anything decent to replace the pipes with though, and too many of my projects end up looking too nice for the wood I pick... probably shouldn't bite off something that would sit on the kitchen counter without some quality wood.
