I keep my fat bike in my barn. Its always way too dirty to bring inside. The other bikes all live inside.

All my bikes are in the garage. Attached, unheated. That's where my bike workstation is, as well.

Road bikes A, B and C stay in the basement. My rain/winter weather bike stays in the garage. Which probably gets the most attention maintenance wise as that’s where all the tools reside.

Quote:
Impossible to open garage door w/o a opener. Dead bolted door at rear of garage. Don't lock the bike while in the garage.

It's not a question of what you put in your garage, it's a question of where you put your garage.
All of my toys are in the garage except one Colnago on the fireplace mantel and all the camera gear in the bedroom. Bicycles, motorcycles, tools and kayaks and paddleboards are in the garage. But that garage is in an affluent suburb with amazing police presence, very proactive and as a result, a super low crime. If I lived somewhere dirtier, everything other than the motorcycles would be in the basement. |
