On the other hand, I had a Bianchi Boron that had developed a rust issue under the top tube at the cable stop. (I should have washed it more often but I digress.) It needed a repaint, so I had it repainted in a different scheme that I really liked.
Someone else must've liked it too because it was stolen not long after that. |

Seeing these Bric Gordons makes me want one. I’m over cantilever brakes, but I would take cantis if I got a chance to own a 58cm!!

It's a great bike for sure, but that's no reason to deny yourself the treat of fresh paint. I can see not refinishing a Rodin, certainly. But you can add patina to a brand new color-way by riding and enjoying the nods and compliments.

Given what I can see from the photo, I would just touch up any exposed areas to prevent rust. That's assuming there is no rust that would compromise the frame. New paint is great on new bikes or show bikes but it can be hard to justify on serviceable riders.
