Quarantine Projects...
Stay@Home is a good time to catch up on projects. I just finished re-painting my kitchen, a project i was putting off for some time.
Today, finally took delivery of some Velocity Quill rims, so tonight i'll pour some good red vino and get to work. I'm impressed with the quality and finish of these rims, they look very nice. whatcha working on?

Building this Milwaukee Bicycle Co. road frame. Will use a 10 speed Red group, Shimano BR-R451 mid reach brakes, plus various cockpit and spare handbuilt Bitex > H Plus Son wheels I had lying around.
 I should really start building wheels!

Paint touch up
As documented in a separate thread, I'm working on touching up the paint (including some rust removal) on the head tube of my Peg. I've finished the prep work, next step is primer. My local builder (MMFG) has graciously volunteered to assist with that, which will have to wait for safe contact.
Otherwise just some routine maintenance. I was having some noise from the BB area on my Ottrott, found some undertorqued parts yesterday.

I was changing cables and gaines when the quarantine locked me up at home. I finished it, fine-tuned the derailleurs, learned a whole lot on how to set the front derailleur properly and now I'm waiting for new handlebar tape delivery to finish the job.

even as a die-hard campy guy, i have to say that for reasonably recent history, 7900 hubs are some of the nicest out there. beautiful silver finish, with a great build quality, and an excellent method to adjust preload on the bearings. these things run forever with no maintenance too. the XT rim brake hubs are dead simple, bulletproof and really cheap to buy.

I was wondering if a thread was going to be started about our bike builds that have been waiting for us to have time. Well I have time now and my project is the Hot Tubes cyclocross bike. I bought this from from D. Lurvey and before him was ebaum's bike. So it is a paceline hand off to me. I have gathered parts over the last year and have just started the build so pictures will be forth coming. A hint is it will have Paul, Campy, and tubulars.
