Please play some John Prine tonight

and send him a prayer. I don't think this forum is a huge fan base for him, but perhaps there are some (of us older folks) .., he's a national treasure.

I had to Google to find out what is going on. Sad to “hear”.
Love the funny duets but am more drawn to the older stuff.
Prine and Steve Goodman were a great pair.
Song somewhat appropriate for the time: Hello in There.

First "real" concert I went to was John Prine in 1981. Been a fan a long time.

I seen him live a few more times since then. He puts on a good show and knows what the fans want to see.

Heard this last night on the Philly Folk show. Ironic in that Gene Shay, the longtime host of that show and the emcee at the Philly Folk fest forever, is also on a vent.

I love him. He's one of the good one's. This is very depressing.
