Help Identifying Campy Hub For Shimano Freehub Conversion
Hello everyone. I have a set of Campy Daytona hubs laced in Mavic Open Pro rims. The wheel set is mint and I would like to install a Shimano freewheel. I am pretty sure the hub set are the Daytona model due to the star set screw on the plastic lock but.
Can anyone confirm from the pics in the link that they are the Daytona model with oversized axles? I am trying to figure out the part number of the Shimano freehub body I will need to convert over to a Shimano cassette. Any help would be appreciated. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/vie...?f=22&t=336793 |

1)HG freehub body that's black and steel..works on any Campag oversized aluminum hub axle rear hub, standard like yours or lobed axle that started in 2006 Part number FH-BUU015X1 2)HG freehub body that is 'white' and aluminum..these work on 'lobed' axles only and these axles on 2006 and later hubs. Part number is FH-BO015X1.. So, either get the steel one, plug and play or get the aluminum one, but you'll need an axle as well. Axle part number FH-BO001

Check with Peter but I have a HG freehub on a black spoked (2006?) Proton that I'd trade for the C10.

I should point out that the above mentioned by me FHBs are 11s compatible also. The one on a 2006 Proton WILL go on this gent's hub but it's 8/9/10s only, not 11s.
