Then it was back to the thin guy's place for some delicious pizza, informative and entertaining chat, and a chance to check out some new "Big S" products.

A great day!

You didn't get dinged for riding across on the walkway? I never used to venture into PA in that region because I didn't want to walk across a bridge in my bike cleats....

I walked with cleat covers, minor inconvenience to get to new roads.
For those that aren't familiar the bridges have what are called footwalks and you must walk your bike.

Found the snowline!

Also found the mountain solitude I was looking for.

(Though there were clearly lots of other people looking for that same mountain solitude. At the reservoir, we all enjoyed said solitude together.)

Love it.

It's pics like this that help me understand how folks put up with prices in SF.

Good eye! One of those pics is from Conlon trail. The others are from Briones Crest trail and San Pablo Ridge trail.

I'm an hour east of SF, but still pricey nonetheless. IMO, the MTB scene isn't all that great here, but the road and gravel riding are amazing.

Getting the miles in as prep for my VA trip in 2 weeks. Lovely weather here, mid-50Fs and clear.

Crumhorn Mountain for BBDave

Dave I had to go do Crumhorn for you today.
And it was so nice out I had to throw in Murphy Hill (second photo) as well.
