Currently using InsideRide/e-Motion smartrollers and agree with you about greater capability for sprinting compared to traditional rollers.

I do find them not nearly as stable at slower speeds, though.
I used to be able to ride traditional rollers no-hands for eating or drinking.

In my experience I basically have to STOP now to attend to those things.
Way too difficult with "moving" rollers to drink, eat, or wipe sweat away.

On the phone it doesn't show that well, but thank you.

Yes you can see the handlebars start wavering the moment she takes her elbow off the glass after she mounts and clips in.

I'm certainly no yoga master and my wife jokes that I'm as uncoordinated as anyone she has ever known... which may be true.
And yet the no-hands thing works pretty well for me. Using e-motions.

Look into adjusting the position of the roller under the front wheel... that made a big difference for me.

This is what I thought I was going to see when I 1st clicked from the OP.

Then I thought... oh, that girl grew up quick.

Anyway... elbow on the glass for sure.

I haven't used my rollers regularly for years, but don't need a prop. They're in the middle of the room when used. I would say I have pretty horrible form but very good balance. Kinda odd.

I also noted that all her videos were yoga, suggesting that she might not be experienced with rollers.

I am not convinced of the elbow on the glass. If that was the case, would her elbow not stay anchored to the same spot on the glass when she mounts? Instead you can see it moving back and forth with the fore-aft movement of the rollers-not even slight deflection.
Might she just have freakishly good balance? If not for this "trick", what is the point of the video? One possible answer is that it's a paid promo for Tacx. I think she has enough followers.

I had a friend who could sit balanced on the back legs of a chair for indefinitely long period of time. It was effortless for him and required no particular concentration or focus. That's what we did in homeroom in eighth grade. That is much different than track stand-type balance, where you use fore-aft movement of the bike and steering to keep the center of gravity positioned for balance.

She has some serious good balance..even Eddy needed to hang onto something when starting.

I admire the multi-tasking but that was not an omelet...more like scrambled eggs...girl needs to step up the cooking skills...

Thanks. Will try positioning the hub further behind the roller to see if that does the trick.
My sense is almost that they float too easily in the track and a bit of resistance might be beneficial.

For me, moving the roller slightly in front of the position of the front hub helped with balance. Quite a bit.

This, from British Cycling website. Although on my own setup I don't have that much setback.

What that does to resistance... ? Not sure there would be much difference.
