Show us your Wheels!

Hello all! Let's see your wheels! I am a custom wheels builder out of Seattle and love to see sweet custom wheels living in their beautiful steeds! I'll start the show off with this photo taken of me and my Della Santa from NAHBS last year in Sacramento. Nice polished pink Chris King R45's laced to custom colored Cerchio Ghisallo Strada rims.

and custom shoes to match them wheels. tasty.
may be the lighting, but the blue of the rims is just a touch off.

It's the angle of the light. The shoes are almost a dead match for the rims. Kind of frightening really. My team and company colors are pink and blue and the shoes were a present from my family, they just happen to be the right shade.

Lovely steel rig you have there. Could you let me know what handlebars you built it up with?

i have a reasonably serious wheel problem. just too many.

the reality is that in 2020, the prebuilt wheels are better than ever. offerings from fulcrum, campy, shimano, reynolds, mavic and others are great, fast, reliable wheels - but that said, i still enjoy the process of putting together a handbuilt set. selecting the individual components for the wheel and assembling them. i also enjoy knowing that the wheels i build should be serviceable for life, though these days the availability of rim brake kit is shrinking, i still think stuff will be available for as long as i can turn a spoke key...

agree, that DS is just lovely.

here are some recent favorite builds

Good wheels are definitely like jewelry. Love the OP's blue rims. Reminds me of some Ambrosio Balance rims I sold this summer. You need a bike to go with those rims.

Here's a wheel in tune with the season. Mavic Classics SSC with ceramic rims and Pave's. Just got these out and onto a bike for the winter. (And yeah, we have soapstone roads around here. )
