protecting rear carbon dropout from wearing out, a sandy washer?

I recently noticed that my bike's rear-wheel contact surface is digging into my bike's rear dropout pretty hard. The dropout surface is full carbon. Is there some type of friction-ish washer I can put in-between them to save my frame's dropout from wearing out? if not what are the other ways to prevent this?
