Wayfarer style sunglasses for cycling

Currently wearing a Giro Synthe and wanted to see if anyone has found wayfarer style glasses whose arms will fit inside of the helmet vents. Wearing cycling specific Tifosis which do fit in the vents, but MAN are they ugly.

Thanks!

I used to have a classic pair of RayBan Wayfarers. Tried using them for cycling once. Too much wind gets in from the sides.

I found Ray Ban Wayfarer's don't sit high enough on the face to cover my eyes while riding a road bike. YMMV.

I wear prescription Lazer Waymaker 2 sunglasses (on the rare occasions where it's sunny here) for both mountain biking and road riding. I like them quite a bit.

I’ve loved mine. “Cycling glasses” never looked good on my face... and if I was going to get a prescription pair of sunglasses, I needed it to work on and off the bike.... in/out of Lycra.

Oh, and yes - they block enough wind.

I had been wearing non-cycling sunglasses for years but last year I decided to make the switch and bought a pair of Oakley Radar EV and was immediately impressed and have not looked back since. My eyes always have a tendency to swallow after several hours on the saddle but no more after wearing these sunglasses made for cycling. Off the bike they look sporty though, which may not work for everyone.

Wayfarers are no good for serious riding. The nose bridge is slick plastic and they're heavy so they tend to slide down when sweaty. They let too much wind in the sides at speed which makes your eyes water. And the frame sits in your line of vision when you're crouched down. They also don't respond well to drops on the pavement which is inevitable. I still ride with them often for some reason...

Check out Maui Jim's line--they have some Wayfarer type sunglasses with flexible adjustable nose pieces that make them work for me on the bike very well. They look pretty much like this and the nose piece is on a bendable wire, not integrated into the frame.

I have a set of glasses by Toms. Can't comment on putting them in helmet, they are prescription and I need to wear them all the time. Good eye coverage, only complaint is they are a bit heavy, but may be my prescription more than the frame.

Those Maui Jim's are the Front Street model I believe. My wife has them in a few colors and loves them. They're not inexpensive but they DO have very nice lenses and they fit really well.

I'm not sure but Smith Optics may also have Wayfarer style frames.
