Trainers for Zwift...

Hey all, if using a non-smart trainer, so a normal fluid trainer along with a garmin speed/cadence sensor, Zwift provides two separate lists for these, one that is compatible with 'ZPower', the other just kind of says compatible. The headings for the lists are:

The following classic trainer models are compatible with Zwift's zPower

and

The following classic trainer models are compatible with Zwift's Virtual Power curve

What is the difference between the two??

Has to do with the accuracy of power calculation during accelerations. Power can be imputed from both classes of approved trainers, however zPower approved trainers l be reasonably accurate at a steady power application and during accelerations/decelerations. Virtual power approved trainers - the algorithm is only accurate during steady power application.
