PM sent... but I'll be asking for advice on what, exactly, we're going to need here!

Really pleased with the unapologetic support from those of you who've been riding with dynamos for a while... that's a solid vote, in my book.

So: Son hub with front and rear lights and don't think twice, it's alright.

Thanks for all the feedback, peeps.
Yes - the SON stuff is very high quality and bike 24 is a great place to get them.

BTW - I would also suggest getting the one with the Coaxial Connector. A lot easier to disconnect at the hub. https://www.bike24.com/p2258975.html

That being said if your set-up allows for a Hanging light - this one is better as the wire for the rear light screws onto the Front light instead of plugging in - the plug is tiny and not fantastic but doable.

Then you could buy this wire https://www.bike24.com/p2352067.html

If you are going to run it inside a fork - you can cut the wire up by the lights and use these if you are not good at soldering to reconnect - they just crimp onto the wires.

These guys always have a lot of SON stuff as well - not many lights though. https://www.bike-components.de/de/SON/

What kind of set-up were you thinking for a rear light? I have a few extra. PM me if you want.

One of my dream bikes is a straight headtube Ti frame with clearance for 35s with fenders and a two tone Potts type 2 fork with dynamo lighting. Unfortunately, there would be a wire wrapped around one fork leg and this ruins the dream.
I have wires on my Redline titanium and they kinda blend into the Wound Up fork. It could be done more cleanly, but it’s still pretty decent. I will never have a commuter without a dynamo hub - they’re amazing. I am putting them on my kids bikes now.

If this thread got anyone hot and bothered for a dynamo setup, I just posted a brand new SON disc hub in the classifieds.
