'96 CSI in 62L - re-homed

Update: frameset has been sent to a tall Paceliner in the midwest...

-----

I picked up this time capsule off PinkBike after PSA'ing it and then figuring why not just get it for myself...

1996 Serotta CSI in 62L:

Stock Campy Record 8 Titanium build. Mavic CD rims in great shape. Gatorskins need to go. Needs narrower bars and matching up the post to the stem. Added the saddle and cages. Otherwise she's good to go. No time to ride this evening, but hopefully tomorrow. The tubing on this one is sweet. And the tire clearance is more than adequate. It's in pretty exceptional condition too. Not NOS - close tho.. On first look the reach seems workable. This may be a winter trainer, or may get taken to Sacramento as my home away from home bike...the gearing would definitely be a better fit there...

Don't you have one this color? It looks very nice up close - lots of depth.

Mine is a bit darker and not as shiny. It matches the green and yellow of the ouzo pro that's attached to it. I really like the steel fork on yours! The CSI is a great riding bike!

Wow, really nice. I would have bought that for myself if I had seen it for sale. Love the green on that-just about perfect.

Tell us how it rides when you get a chance.

Nice catch.

That bike cries out for a silver stem and black saddle to complete the package, though...

Riding it first, but my thoughts went to:

- Silver 110cm Nitto Pearl
- Nitto 40cm short reach compact bars

Could go a couple different ways from there with saddle color, bar tape, etc.

Don't develop an opinion until you ditch the Gatorskins.

Don't worry. Those will be gone before the first ride..

In the previous owner's defense, it came from goat-head country. And at least they are 28s, not 23s.

Yeah, love it. I think Cha-ching green has got to be one of the best colors.
I would love to try a CSI someday.
