Gunnar Crosshairs

I’ve owned this Gunnar Crosshairs since around April 2011. I just realized that I’ve never posted it, so here it is. I dug up some photos of prior set ups to post. The first two photos are the closest to it’s current set up, however it now rocks some 44cm Salsa Cowchippers. It’s a super versatile bike that can handle just about anything I can throw at it.

It looks good loaded, but that first picture of it unadorned, against the graffiti'ed wall looks so good. Such great lines, especially the rake in the front fork.

+1 for a silver headset and silver spokes, too.

Thanks! I've always been a fan of silver spokes. I've built up a few wheelsets over the years with black spokes, and always end up going back to tried and true silver. I feel that silver spokes kind of disappear, where black spokes just look so visually heavy.

Thanks! I Would definitely recommend picking one up if you have the opportunity. I usually run it with 32's in road duties, and Nano 40's for just about everything. The 40's are about as big of a tire that can fit in the back.

This bike has it all - great paint, 2x drivetrain, Paul brakes, fat-ass tires! Really nice.

Thanks, I just ordered a Gunnar Sport and now you have me questioning my color choice.

From your description of tire changes I assume thus is your only bike. If so great choice for an all-rounder.

Well, this green does get a lot of comments when out and about. What color did you order for your Sport?

I have a few other bikes as well, however if I had to reduce the stable down to 1 bike this would probably be the bike that stays. For a number of years I used it primarily as a cx bike, running anywhere from 32-40 cx tires. It’s current role now is as a fatter tire road bike / commuter / all rounder.
