Reynolds 66 with SLG and the textured brake surface. They are in excellent condition. I just didn't like the road feel and added stiffness - but I understand they serve a purpose, as does this bike in general, and that purpose isn't a comfy Sunday-best ride. They are a means to and end. And the extra speed above 22mph is impressive. Holding it above 30mph on these on flat ground is doable.

So its mainly that you dont like the stiffer ride these wheels give ?

What brand and size tires do you have on them, what size tires will the frame fit ?

You are going to be happy. I have an older version with a 1-1/18 head tube and threaded BB, but otherwise similar. With all the tube shaping (including hydro forming) it is a truly modern high tech Ti frame.

Yeah, wheels above 40mm in depth with a narrow v profile range from "require a bit of attention" to "terrifying".

The wind seems to have eased up compared to the last couple of weeks but for half the course at Dirty Circles - you're riding beside the Columbia. I'd plan for some wind

I like that overlook. Isn't there a building with half a Porsche 356 on it close?

Was coming here to post - got distracted by work.. But I don't really know what I want to do with it. 3-4 rides, ~175mi or so - gave me a good feel for it - and let me test my interest in the style of setup/ride. It's a lot of fun and a great bike for what it is. I just think my days of riding 25s and chasing fast times - sitting in pacelines, etc. - are behind me. I keep forgetting that for some reason. Dunno, may keep it for the next time I forget. We'll see. Kinda depends on what I could get for it and managing my bike-stable cash-flow.

Nice bike but...you have had it for almost two weeks now!!

That is a crazy long time for you to own a bike...time to move on to the next five bikes you just bought!

Hahaha! Just teasing Dan. I am always entertained by all of your builds.

Did you do the race on this bike?

No, was too tired from the ride the day before! But choosing an 85mi ride on a beautiful day over mostly country roads was the right call over driving for two hours round-trip to do a sketchy CAT-4/5 race on a boring course that would have been over in an hour or so. There's the rub.

Maybe I'll keep it regardless the racing interest. It is certainly a fun bike to ride fast over shorter-to-medium distances. And it's hard to beat titanium for not caring if you get caught in the rain mid-ride.
