Paletti 54cm
Beautifully restored rare Paletti Italian bicycle. The frame was done by CyclArt in San Diego and I just finished assembling this beautiful bike, but alas, my wife says "to many bicycles". Those of you who know CyclArt's work know they are the best at what they do, the restoration on the frame alone was 1k plus all the shipping back and forth. CyclArt did an amazing job on this project. I finished this bicycle with all new modern components . Here is the list. I wanted to keep the older look but be modern
11 speed Campagnolo Athena compact group (50/29) (12-29) dual pivot brakes front and rear. New Leather San Marcos saddle/Ti rails, with matching padded leather bar tape. https://lewiston.craigslist.org/bik/...165186856.html NOS Cinelli bar and stem. A used but beautiful, Pantographed Super Record seat post . Wheels are new Miche hubs (Italian) with new Mavic 'Open Pro' rims. I only rode this bike for a couple of miles to see that all is working as it is supposed to, it rides beautifully, I forgot how nice steel rides. if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Frame size is 54 . |

Anyone interested in this should make sure to scroll down and see the references to carbon damage and possible need for repair.
I'm pretty sure thebicycleoutpost ebay seller is a spin off of theproscloset where they sell less-than-premium bikes that often have damage or need major work. Doesn't mean that there aren't good deals to be had there - I've bought a few and had good experiences - just make sure that you read the fine print. Quote:

If it "is at the buyers sole discretion whether this bike is safe to ride", then maybe sell "broken / for parts" condition rather than "used." |
