Finished Dream Build... (Update)

So. About a year ago I joined this forum on the advice of a friend who has been a member for a while. This was one of my first posts explaining my situation.........

Alright. I found cycling about 4 years ago and have not looked back. So, I ride with a few guys from work, and have been for the past few years. I ride a canyon endurance and have really enjoyed it. I have always said that my dream bike is a red dogma f12, basically saying that I could never afford one in my life, and with 2 kids could never justify it anyway, or at least for a long time.

Fast forward to las week and it was my ten year anniversary being with our company. They surprised me with a big party and got me this.....

I was literally speechless. It was so unexpected, overwheling, and super generous. They got me started by also getting me the talon handlebars for it, and a retul fit at a really nice bike shop in town so I knew what sizing to get on everything.
So, I am not qualified to build this, but I really enjoy building things, I do light woodworking, lots of home projects and repairs, and i love to learn. But no experince with building a biike, especially a bike like this. With all the resources out there, including this board, Im going to give it a go and complete the build myself. Money is a factor in that decision as well. I was not budgeting a f12 frame landing on my doorstep. haha
This is a bike I want and can take my time with it and make it perfect. To say im overwhelmed is an understatement. I really want to do it justice and honor the frame with a good build and ride the absolute f*** out of it when its done.

A friend of mine from another board is a member and active user and told me to start looking on here for guidance and to see other peoples builds. ill be posting alot with dumb questions and updates on my first build!! Thanks in advance....

So I originally joined here mainly for the classifieds, but with the rule of having to post 30 times before using the classified section (Great Rule), i really got into it and met some great people. Everyone was helpful with all of my questions. I got so much advice, bought components, everything and more that I needed for this build. Special thanks to Velocipede for making himself available on email to answer countless questions at all times of day and night. And to Peter Chisholm (Vecchio, i think) for hooking the contact up and also answering some build questions.
It was incredibly frustrating at times, but so satisfying when I was done. I learned so much thru this process and I have a whole new respect for good bike mechanics and new hatred for ****ty ones.
Anyway, heres some pics of the finished build.

Congrats. Love the color!

And as someone who has struggled with posting pics myself:

Right click on the image you want to post, then select "copy image address," then paste that address into the [IMG] boxes you get by punching the photo icon in the post toolbar (the one that looks like a mountain top with the sun!). Hopefully that fixes it.

fyi...the pro-move is to wrap that front shift cable 1/2 loop around the fixing bolt, so it doesnt jut out like that!

Bam. Proper build on a more than proper bike! As a previous owner of an F8 and F10, I can imagine the levels of stoke you are experiencing.

Congrats again...and such a cool story of how you got hooked up with the frame!

Good looking saddle, I was thinking about buying one. I’d like to hear how it works out.

Love the colour. A fresh contrast from the ubiquitous black Pinarello.
Hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Always love to hear the story behind the frame/bike.

That is a way cool story of how the bike came to be but also of how you came to part of this community!

Way cool ride. Love all the subtle touches of red but not overwhelming.

Nice ride. Enjoy the bike!

Retired however could likely be convinced to go back to work if everyone at work received bicycles like that!
Great, true story!
