Someone already mentioned the Lazer G1, I just bought one a few weeks ago and I like it allot.
I did however try it on before I bought it and I was really impressed with how comfortable it felt

On a tip from the forum, I took advantage of a good sale on a POC Ventral Spin a few weeks ago, and I see the sale is still on, if you fit POC's medium size . It fits me perfectly with a 56cm head circumference with enough space for a cap that I prefer to wear year round (over a full head of thick hair :-). These are as good as any with regards to the primary function of protection, they have better coverage around the back behind the ears than some, and the SPIN feature is POC's version of MIPs, which I find more comfortable than MIPS liner on my other helmets. I find it super airy and comfortable. I like the white "raceday" (gloss) as it's not black and the gloss finish is easy to clean greasy fingerprints.

If it fits, it's a good deal on a top end helmet. https://www.excelsports.com/poc-ventral-air-spin-helmet

Lazer Blade has been good to me. Feels lighter and more comfortable than the G1 and Z1 which are often twice the price. The Blade can be found for $80 or less online

All pass or they can't be sold in the US. Fit is key, as has been mentioned more than twice. Looks, aesthetics, etc. Ease of adjustment....

Lots of marketing going on...many 'imply' that more $=better protection..where because lighter, may actually =less protection...

What Virginia Tech tests for is different than the minimum safety requirements that need to be met to be sold in the US.

Much like the 5-star crash safety rating for new cars. There's a minimum criteria a car needs to meet in order to be sold, but testing can be done to see if a car exceeds those minimum requirements.
