SRAM Force1 2.1 vs. 3.0 RD?

Can anyone tell me the differences/changes between the 2.1 and 3.0 versions? I have a line on a Force1 2.1 long cage RD and am thinking about replacing the Apex1 long cage RD that is on my Marin Gestalt (2018 model). Running the 10-42 cassette and 42 tooth single chainring. Any issue with this swap that I should know about?
