Gloves for long fingers
I need some mid weight gloves for PNW mild winter days, think 40-45 and light rain. The thing is, I apparently have long fingers. My hands are not big, but I have to buy 2XL to keep my fingertips from getting pressed against the glove when I’m on the hoods.
I usually buy Giro 2XL because I can get them inexpensively. However, 2XL isn’t an ideal fit because of the extra width, plus Giro gloves don’t last all that long in my experience. I have some Sealskin winter gloves for colder weather. So looking for good quality mid-weight gloves that are weather resistant, if not waterproof (because I also know how well “waterproof” works in the real world, including Giro and the aforementioned Sealskins). Any suggestions, you long-fingered folk out there? Thanks, Harth |

Hanske is your friend. They have good descriptions and give finger measurements. Top shelf glove.

Handske look like an option, but wow, the designs are not my style. I want boring and black, please. I’m kinda surprised they don’t offer one solid black, but I guess that’s their thing.
Thanks for the suggestion. |

Bumping this for the weekday crowd.
Anyone else with long-fingered glove suggestions? Thanks. |

Although I do have XXL hands I also have very long fingers. The longest fingers I've come across are from Pearl Izumi, they are the only LF glove I've tried that nested fully in my finger crotches (is that a thing?). I also have Giro, Specialized and Cuero, all are about 3-4mm shy of nesting. The Cueros are the most comfortable for typical mild CA weather (my Pearls are too warm) and are far easier to get on and off than Pearls so they are typically the ones I grab.

Hey Jmoore,
hope you remember me from our paceline ride we did years ago in Dallas, since moved to Fort Worth but hope we can catch up at the NAHBS in a few months. been meaning to try some of your gloves and I'd like to try a set of these long finger models myself.only question is if the black leather will likely stain white bar tape? OK then, if donevwil says they work well with his long fingers, I need to try them. I ordered an XL and a 2XL.
Long fingers are crossed. Thanks all. Quote:

They arrived yesterday. The quality seems good, but the sizing is a disappointment. Based on their chart, the XL should have been a tiny bit big on me. It's not, it's too small. The thumb is uncomfortably tight, even after just 30 seconds of wearing them. I'm going to give them a fair try when it warms up a bit, but initial impressions aren't great, size wise. Chris |

Unisex glove sizing has ruined gloves IMO |

Not for manufacturers and our inventory carrying costs.
