Which service has the best iOS app? Apple Music has an equalizer, but I think none of the others do. Any workarounds for this?

In anticipation of buying some new speakers, combined with my desire to use Roon, I am finally on Tidal properly. I am using Soundiiz to convert my 1000+ Spotify playlists to Tidal and it's doing a decent job so far. Not too many missed tracks.

The real point here though is Roon. Damn. So good. I used it several times this week while demoing speakers and it has really come on a long way since I last used it a few years ago. Very cool software. Proper music geek stuff.

Not the ideal signal path but at the moment it's: PC (Roon Core) > Chromecast > TOSLINK to DAC/Amp > Speakers.

But - it sounds great, so I don't really care.

Excited to use it all with new speakers.

Jango

Pick an artist radio station, pick how much variation in artists you want, every once in a while they play something new that you can rate or ban.

Listen to it in the van while doing repairs. Had funk on the other day. Boston radio is on now.

Cool

Finding free music is much easier today than it used to be. Piracy is no longer the easiest way to listen to your favorite music. Every year, there are music streaming services providing their services, but a few stand out from the rest. Spotify is great for streaming music and is the most popular free music app. It boasts an extensive music collection, curated stations, and playlists. Here, there are global charts of music, which you can listen to, but with minor restrictions.

Columbia House. It's great, you only pay for 1 CD and they send you 10, just pay shipping & handling.

Oh wait....wrong decade.
