Ebikes in Canada?

A friend is looking for an e bike in Vancouver Canada. Supply is so short that she’s considering a Bafang kit. Does anyone have any leads or good ideas? Definitely a size small.

I tried calling shops in the US but they say they won’t shop to CA or there are shipping restrictions on e bikes.

Ebikes in Canada?

I know it is the other side of the world...but Primeauvelo in the Montreal area has several different ones in stock (I know nothing about ebikes but just happened to be on their site when you posted). Other bike stores in my part of Canada are bicycles quillicot who you might want to also check.

If you look here... https://www.primeauvelo.com/en/bikes...ric-bikes.html, and click on a given bike there is a way on the right side to see what they have in stock..(also, hit the EN on the top left)

I know Quilicot have an e-Bike store. Perhaps they're willing to ship.
https://www.bicyclesquilicot.com/fr/...e-velo-branche
https://www.mathieuperformance.com/velos/electrique/ might also ship to BC
Also know of https://www.e2-sport.ca/en/

Haven't had any experience with any of the shops but you might have some luck with stock on either. I know Mathieu Performance has decent stock right now.
I've had good experience with Primeau's online retail but I do live near their stores.

Is it ok now, with Covid, to travel to WA state somewhere, buy a bike and return to Canada, eh?

Nope. Test before traveling to Canada. Test at the border. 2 week quarantine. Test towards end of quarantine. Canada takes COVID seriously compared to US. It has hampered my living in two countries but a small price to pay for public health.

I know the crossborder company i've used in the past has greatly improved their cross border (direct to home) shipment service.
It's a flat rate + any applicable duties, so might still be a viable alternative

That plus the Jenson E bike might be the ticket. Can you share that info?

I use crossborderpickups.ca - $10 plus duties and taxes. You mentioned Vancouver, there must be something similar there.

Sorry about the jenson reference, I did a test and it is not shippable to Canada.

Sounds like she bought a user Powerfly after all. Thanks for all the good ideas folks. That jenson Bosch bike is a good deal. I’m tempted even though we already have two.
