SimpleOne does sound like fun, as long as I have a shuttle for the hills. |

Thanks - I'm loving the bike - feel like it was built for me.. As for the ride, it wasn't snowing today and I felt like I had to go ride outside - but that meant finding roads that had gotten a bit of sun and didn't have slush or ice on them - after mixed results in the neighborhoods, I jumped over to the deserted COCC campus that's next door to me and found a bunch of short n' steep little roads that are perfect for clearing out the cobwebs after a few days of riding the trainer for hours on end.. plus there are a bunch of deer always hanging out and some nice views.. Must be quite a few controlled burns going on right now. Good time of year for it I guess.

Looking good! Perhaps you've found what you've been searching for? Couldn't imagine a more perfect bike or build.
Great views over there! |

I think I remember you had a RS before. How is this one different?

Very sharp. Interesting that the chainstays seem to have a subtle curve as they near the dropouts. If true, I had not noticed this detail on RS's bikes before.

There is a subtle curve that I believe is there on his newer frames that use the vertical dropouts that attach differently than the older horizontal dropouts. I'm sure it's been covered somewhere here or on VS at some point, just haven't seen it.

I hope I don't butcher this but from what I recall the angles on some outlier frames require that slight bend in the chainstay. Ive seen it on some of RS instagram photos.

I've been riding and enjoying the hell out of this for nigh on 500mi now, right on through winter here (though not today or for another week or more with the snow that arrived). It's a peach. I'm glad I took a chance on it - and I don't see ever letting this one go. Really. Seriously. I mean it. |
