Good news. Definitely some of the best upgrade I have done to my Pegs.
It will take some extra care in setting them up correctly, but, once tuned, they are a joy to ride. |

Are the new silver ones the same as the older El Platino?

Glad they made these regularly available! I’m curious if I had the silver calipers vs black, if it would be too much for my build!

Just checked today. It seems they are available and ready to ship for those of you champing at the bit to grab a set.

Maybe hard to quantify but how much and in what way are these better than say for example dura ace 7800 or campa record 10s brakes?

Probably half the weight of the others, plenty of stopping power, can fit wide carbon rims with ease, look cool.

Exactly! The silver ones look particularly cool...

They are easily the equal of 7800. Just lighter.
I have bikes with both. I wouldnt say better, because all modern brakes are amazing and stop just fine. Last edited by 54ny77; 05-16-2024 at 09:27 PM. |

What's a set of those "assembled in USA" calipers go for?
Edit Yow, $780.00. Last edited by Nomadmax; 05-17-2024 at 05:27 AM. |

I have acquired 2 sets used and one set at employee pricing while working at a bike shop. I like them, die hard weight weenie, but I couldn't justify them at full retail.
