You will probably just need some more rim strip under the tube where it punctured the rim bed, but it doesn't look unsafe to ride.

And maybe boot the tire. It will be fine.

Matthew, no damage to the RSL. The DA brakes and the brake bridge were scratched tho.

Dusty, haven't taken off the rim tape to examine the inside wall. Will post pics tomorrow.

Rear wheel so no crash, just a lot of noise. I thought my bike was breaking apart. Third nail, screw or kitchen knife (tru story), I run over in a month. Two out of three tires were bootable. LAsucksfornicetires.

Looks like a clean hole. It's a rear wheel...but...I think I might go for a new rim. I don't want to be thinking about my wheel when I'm riding.

yea because the problem is when irrisponsible contractors like DeadMan drive around and spew drywall screws all over the road out of their pickup trucks.

Dude - I'm serious. Crap really drives me crazy.. and roofing nails, with their broad heads are the worst, 'cause they like to sit sticking straight up.

Was cooking in HOT with a tailwind and a strong paceline a couple years ago... I had just pulled off the front and settled into the back when I heard a freaken gunshot go off up toward the front - the dude who'd come up from behind me hit a roofing staple and it completely exploded his rear tire - shredded it so bad pieces of the tire and tube wrapped up around the stays and locked the wheel up, and he ground to a halt rim on pavement. Everyone scattered cleanly and somehow nobody went down.

F'ing roofers.
