Scouting my new home turf. View from the southwestern edge of the Black Forest across the Rhine towards the Alsace. Grand Ballon visible in the distance.

Since we're on a bit of a German kick, I'll re-post this one from across the hall:

Just got back from a bikepacking tour from my house to a friend's.

6 days
600km
10,500m+
High of 45.7 degrees Celsius

We survived on ice cream and pickle juice, I've never sweated so much in my life.

End of a long day:

Climbing into the Black Forest:

Slowly moving through the south back to Cali. Joined up with a new cycle group in Dallas for a casual mixed terrain ride. My 25mm tires sufficed and met some cool people!

Western Kentucky Exports

Saturday saw 111 miles of beans, burley, beef, and bourbon. Last one shows a high stakes game of Jenga gone awry.

Jumped on the santa Fe rail trail this morning not knowing the conditions. Needless to say one of the most epic rides I have done. Went OTB and survived!
