What's good for tubeless rim tape and valves?

New wheelset ordered... just need to purchase tubeless rim tape and valves separately now.

What's good nowadays? In the past, I just purchased Stan's tape and valves, which work fine, but the valves do get clogged up with dry sealant from time-to-time.

DT Swiss tape better than Stan's or basically the same?

Muc-Off valves?

BTW, new rims are 44mm deep, so I need valves on the longer side.

I've used Stans, WTB and Boyd's tape. They all work, just get the width/price that works for you. The Boyd's might be a touch thinner than the others, but there's enough in a roll to tape two road wheels.

Regarding valves, I've never had clogging issues, not even with home-made valves I cut out from old inner tubes.

Most recently, I purchased a Boyd's "kit," which came with valves, blue tape and pink sealant. I like the valves because they are all black, come in different sizes and came with an oval wing nut that's easy to line up and not over-tighten. Only issue was slightly slow shipping. I used this kit on my road wheels and so far no issues at all.

I will second this one. The valve holes are nice and open and I love the unscrewer thingy on the cap.

I’ve found Muc-Off tape to apply more easily than, say, Stan’s or WTB. The pink Muc-Off tape stretches well, making it easier for me to get that sweet tubeless-tape-combo of deep in the channel and flat on the inner rim edge.

Muc-Off tape is much better than any other tape, including Stans, that I have tried. It sticks well, is a bit stretchy, and easier to apply.

Those ethirteen valves look purdy! I've had good luck with Muc-Off valves, way better than the WTB valves I was using before.

Sounds like a few votes for Muc-Off tape... good to know!

I think those e*thirteen values are primarily for shallower MTB rims?

I use Muc Off valves. Works well and comes in variety of colors.

And if you order from Truckerco, I recommend their sealant. Works as well for me as Stans but cheaper.

+1 for cheap brake pads from the truckers.
Mic-off valves are the only ones I found wide enough to accept sealant via a syringe.

What width

for the Scotch® Strapping Tape 8898 for like a C17 and for a Mavic open pro rim(s)

18mm? assuming that works. I just need it for regular clincher rim tape, but want low volume height wise
